Half Marathon WALKING PROGRAM what

registration WHAT: This program will slowly build the endurance
to 1 hour or more for health purposes. Participants should be capable of walking
briskly for 20 minutes. Be
sure to check with your doctor prior to starting any fitness program. The goal will be for all that finish the program
to be able to complete the Under Armour Baltimore 5K (3.1 miles) in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday, October 11th.
WHEN: Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. starting July 19th, 2008 and going until October 11th, 2008. [Note: No training program on Saturday, August
30th, 2008.] WHERE: The workouts
are held at Lake Accotink Park located at 7500 Accotink Park Road in Springfield, Virginia. Lake Accotink may be reached
from I-95 by taking Old Keene Mill Rd. west to right on Hanover Avenue to left
on Highland Avenue to right on Accotink Park Road to front entrance on left.
There is plenty parking available. We
at the shelter on the hill next to the merry-go-round. COST: The $150.00
cost is a one time non-refundable fee. The
fee covers administrative costs and speakers. Please fill out the registration
form and submit with check made payable to: Start Right Fitness LLC. SUPPLIES: Each participant
should bring a water bottle that attaches to your body and a digital watch to

race. Participants should be capable of
running nonstop for 30 minutes. The goal
will be for all that finish the program to be able to complete the Boo Run for Life 10K in Washington , DC,
on Sunday, October 12th. There is no 10
mile training program scheduled for the July 2008 training programs. WHEN: Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. starting July 19th, 2008 and going until October 11th, 2008. [Note: No training program on Saturday, August

WHAT:
This program is designed to help those female runners who would like to improve
their conditioning. The weekly workouts will include drills, pick-ups, pace
work and speed work. The workouts are designed to improve your running form,
focus, speed and your over all fitness. The program will accommodate female
runners of all abilities who are already running on a regular basis for a minimum
of 30 minutes. Coach Carla will divide the participants into small groups
of similar ability and design each week’s workout for the various groups’ abilities. It’s
a great way to improve your running with the camaraderie of your fellow athletes.
Coach Carla promises that the workouts will be both fun and challenging.
WHEN: Wednesdays
from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. -- Starting Wednesday, May 21th and continuing until
September 24th, 2008. WHERE: The workouts are held at Lake Accotink Park located at 7500 Accotink
